These terms apply to every rental made through TxN Car Rent. Please read them before you book. Last updated: 4 September 2026. The Romanian version of this page prevails.
Who we are
TxN Car Rent is a car rental service in Brasov. You will find us at Zaharia Stanciu nr. 1, next to Coresi Mall. Phone: 0770 506 112, every day between 08:00 and 22:00. E-mail: Ganju.Georgee@yahoo.com. Bookings are made by phone or WhatsApp.
What we rent
Toyota Corolla Hybrid 1.8, year 2020, self-drive. We rent by the day, from one day to a month or more. We do not offer chauffeur services.
The price
- The rate is 30 EUR per day, whatever the length of the rental.
- Prices include VAT.
- Payment is made in lei, at the BNR rate of the invoicing day.
- The rate includes: the car with a full tank, pickup and return in Brasov, the second driver, and free cancellation before pickup.
Only the following costs can be added to the rate, and only where they apply: missing fuel on return, damage to the car not covered by insurance, fines and road tolls for the rental period, and one extra rental day for delays longer than 60 minutes past the agreed return time. We charge nothing for the second driver, for out-of-hours handover, or for ordinary cleaning.
Booking
You can book in two ways: online on this site, or directly by phone or WhatsApp, telling us the period you need.
If you book online, the form shows you straight away whether the dates are free and what they cost, and when you send the request you get an acknowledgement. That acknowledgement confirms only that we received your request, not that the booking is made. We hold the car for you for 4 hours while we reply by phone or e-mail. The booking becomes firm only once we confirm it.
Either way, we tell you the total price for the period and the deposit amount. Nothing is charged online — you pay at pickup, in cash or by card. The rental agreement is signed when you pick the car up.
The deposit
Every rental has a deposit. The amount is agreed when you book, before you get to us, and is written into the agreement. It is returned in full when you bring the car back, after we check it, provided there is no damage, missing fuel, fines or unpaid tolls. If any of these occur, we deduct only their proven value from the deposit and show you the calculation.
Who can drive
- Minimum age: 21.
- Driving licence held for at least one year.
- At pickup: ID card or passport and the original driving licence. A photo of the licence is not enough.
- The second driver costs nothing extra, but signs the agreement and brings their licence. Only drivers named in the agreement may drive the car.
Fuel
You get the car with a full tank and bring it back with a full tank. If you return it with less, we deduct only the difference from the deposit, at the pump price of the return day. We add no refuelling fee.
Pickup, return and delays
Pickup and return happen at Zaharia Stanciu nr. 1 in Brasov. The time is agreed when you book and can be any hour of the day or night, by arrangement. If you are running late, call us: a delay of up to 60 minutes is not charged, beyond that one rental day is added unless we agreed otherwise. Pickup or return in another town can be discussed at booking and is charged separately, only with your prior agreement.
Insurance and damage
The cars carry valid RCA third-party insurance for the whole rental period. At pickup we check the car together and note any existing damage in the agreement. For damage caused during the rental, the cover and any excess are communicated when you book and set out in the rental agreement, which you receive before signing. Damage caused by breaching these terms, for example driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances, is not covered.
Tracking the car
Every car is fitted with a GPS tracking device, active during the rental. We use it to protect and recover the car in case of theft, failure to return it, or an accident, and to send help if you break down. We check the position only when such a situation arises, not during a rental that goes normally, and we do not use it to score your driving. Where the car may go
The car may be driven in Romania. Taking it abroad is possible, but only with our prior agreement, requested at booking, because it requires additional documents and insurance. The car may not be driven on unusable roads or off public roads.
What is not allowed
Subletting the car, using it for public transport of people or goods, taking part in competitions or races, towing other vehicles, carrying dangerous substances, letting people not named in the agreement drive, and driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that affects driving ability.
Fines and road tolls
You are responsible for traffic fines and road tolls relating to the period you had the car, including those notified to us after the return. When we receive a fine for that period, we are required to give the authority the driver’s details. Details of this processing are in the Privacy policy.
Cancellation and changes
You can cancel free of charge at any time before the agreed pickup time, with no fee and no explanation. Date or duration changes are made by phone or WhatsApp, subject to availability. The full conditions are in the Cancellation and changes policy.
Right of withdrawal
Car rental with a set date or period is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal, under art. 16 (l) of GEO no. 34/2014 on consumer rights. We tell you this explicitly before you book. Our cancellation policy still applies and is more favourable: you can cancel free of charge any time before pickup.
Complaints
If something went wrong, call or write to us and we will try to sort it directly, within 15 days at most. If we cannot agree on a solution, you may contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection. The competent alternative dispute resolution entity is ANPC – SAL, and complaints are filed at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro. The full procedure is described in Complaints and dispute resolution.
Applicable law
The agreement is concluded in Romanian and governed by Romanian law. Any disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your rental is the one published when your booking was confirmed. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
